Overview:
Responsible for observing and understanding Fulton Financial Advisors (FFA) policies and procedures to acquire a working knowledge of all aspects of the Support Services, Middle Office, and/or Tax operations. Acts as liaison between Middle office, Support Services and/or Tax staff area managers in order to provide guidance in day to day activities and ensure that efficient processes are in place and working properly. This role may be primarily assigned to work in one or all of these three areas – Middle Office, Support Services or Tax. May also function as primary back-up and support for trust system administration responsibilities under the control of FFA.

 

This is a temporary, hybrid role working 20 hour per week role at our Corporate headquarters for approximately 4-6 weeks.

Responsibilities:
Perform and assist other associates in the most complex areas. Assist in complex problem solving. Assist supervisor and provide strong leadership. Responsible for processing and reconciling various types of increasingly complex transactions affecting all types of trust accounts on the trust accounting system. Ensure that the functions performed are being handled in accordance with prescribed policies and procedures. Maintain necessary controls established to safeguard customer assets.

 

Provides daily oversight and guidance to Middle office, Support Services and/or Tax non-exempt staff in all aspects of their work.

 

Ensures that processes and procedures are properly implemented, kept current, and documented. 

 

Oversees testing program of key controls.

 

Reviews and recommends new methods to maintain an optimum level of operational system efficiency within the Middle office, Support Services and/or Tax areas of FFA

 

Monitors the existing trust accounting or tax system functionality and system intefaces or weaknesses through direct and staff observation.  Recommends enhancements to the proper area manager for implementation and correction.  Works with FFA system administration to develop procedures related to system enhancements impacting these areas.

 

May provide primary back-up and support for the trust system administrator on FFA systems maintained within the department.

 

Qualifications:
Education

Bachelor Degree or the equivalent experience

 

Experience

3 or more years  Banking, financial, or banking operations experience preferably in the Trust Department or Trust Operations area.

 

Prior experience in this role or similar role.
