As a Facilities Maintenance Tech II, you'll provide maintenance and repairs for H-E-B facilities and systems in a professional manner that assures safety, efficiency, and reliability, using the latest in technology, processes, and procedures.

We are looking for:
-a high school diploma
-2 years of technical school, or experience in mechanical, electrical, AC maintenance, pneumatic systems, or construction trades

What is the work?
Repair & Replacement / Maintenance / Troubleshooting:
-Troubleshoots / repairs various pieces of equipment, general building infrastructure, and grounds; applies knowledge of / experience with generators, elevators, uninterruptable power supply (UPS) systems, wet systems, alarm panels (including audio / visual devices), Ohm's law, multimeters, clamp meters, safety / code guidelines and laws
-Repairs / replaces basic plumbing fixtures and irrigation components
-Operates, repairs, and rebuilds mechanical components
-Troubleshoots / repairs basic circuits for lighting and various equipment
-Opens / closes repair and maintenance work orders using work order management system
-Collaborates with Returned Good Center to become familiar with used-asset availability for cost-saving and replacement alternatives
-Supports special events; works with other departments to coordinate / monitor tent setup, power supply, tables; ensures building codes are applied
-Investigates customer complaints and chronic maintenance issues; resolves warranty issues
-Maintains scheduled services of company vehicles according to manufacturers' recommendations
-Researches / orders repair parts, materials
-Supports FM's strategic goals by supporting tactical decisions that impact H-E-B's financial, legal, and safety status
-May assist in maintenance of landscaping; learns / applies basic knowledge of turf, shrubs, and trees
-May perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs to HVAC systems

What is your background?
-High school diploma or equivalent
-2 years of technical school in electrical or air conditioning maintenance or
-2+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, pneumatic systems, construction trades, or AC maintenance
-Experience working with MS Office (Outlook calendars, email, etc.)
-Completion of hazardous materials handling certification, once hired
-Valid driver's license; good driving record

Do you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B Facility Maintenance Tech II?
-Working knowledge of generators, elevators, uninterruptable power supply (UPS) systems, wet systems, alarm panels (including audio / visual devices), Ohm's law, and multimeter / clamp meter usage
-Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, etc.)
-Understanding of the principles of three phase AC voltage sources (277 / 480VAC)
-Written / verbal communication skills; reading and math skills
-Interpersonal skills
-Analytical and troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail
-Ability to understand / demonstrate safe work practices on electrical equipment
-Ability to anticipate what should be done
-Ability to demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness while working independently with limited supervision

Can you...
-Travel by car or plane with overnight stays
-Lift 50 lbs and carry at least 25 feet
-Work in extreme temperatures, ranging from -20 to 130 degrees, and in potentially hazardous conditions / noise
-Work while standing, sitting, stooping, bending, reaching, with hands over head, in a prone position, or from a ladder
