Responsibilities:
Shift:  Full-Time Variable 

 

Summary:  Performs a variety of patient and non-patient food service duties such as preparing and delivering patient trays, servicing the cafeteria, working on tray line, stocking storage areas, preparing nourishments, dishwashing and pot washing, mopping and sweeping of floors and emptying of trash as well as other related tasks.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve food for hospital patients, employees, physicians and guests.

Prepares cold food items for patient areas as described in standards.

Demonstrates ability to operate commercial food preparation equipment.

Maintain quality product freshness as assured by proper label dating and rotation.

Stock work area and tray line.

Completes all duties of specific food production area.

Completes assigned cleaning tasks and maintains temperature logs for work area. 

Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience

AA degree in Food Science/Nutrition preferred.

One (1) year of healthcare experience working with modified diets preferred.

County Specific requirement.

County Specific Food Handlers certification required upon hire and maintained current
