Strategic Market Research Intern

Our internship program is designed to help you not only understand what we do but how and why we do it. If you are looking for an experience where you can immerse yourself in a business, establish a network, learn, develop your skills, and have some fun, than this is the place for you.
This internship will be longer than a 12 week internship opportunity with the possibility of a full time position upon college graduation. This includes mainly leveraging MS Excel to perform data entry for product research. This is all while learning about the broader business strategy that Meritage Homes has in place, participating in cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders.
The STROPS Intern will:
Maintain the Product Database for top selling builders & communities throughout the 20 markets in which Meritage operates nationally.
Mainly collect market specific information using various methods, including but not limited to online searches, in-person visits, and third party data. Very heavily data entry focused for this internship position.
Configure reports to present competitive market findings to operational leadership.
This internship requires close attention to detail and proficient use in MS Excel.
Work closely with internal business leaders to learn the homebuilding industry, the Meritage business model and an assigned functional area such as construction, land, marketing, operations, purchasing, finance, human resources, etc.
Learn our core values and why they drive everything we do
Translate classroom experience into practical application during the internship
Participate in cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders centered around current business challenges
Present real world business recommendations to senior leadership that can help drive our strategy
Write a paper focusing on the experience or another assigned topic
Meritage Homes does not provide Visa sponsorship.
Potential to grow into more roles within the STROPS team such as:
Support architecture and product design through targeted data collection efforts.
Occassionally attend site visits in the field to review Meritage & competitor product and deepen understanding of our value proposition in the markets we operate.
