As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you'll collaborate with product management and engineering teams, bridging the gap between business and technology throughout the product lifecycle to support development that ensures a compelling digital experience for our retail Customers, or help arm H-E-B Partners company-wide with world-class business applications to thrive in their jobs. You'll also mentor others. You’re someone who works seamlessly with engineers, designers, product managers and stakeholders alike. You can identify cross-team technical dependencies and facilitate conversations to align on scope, size, and timelines. You can converse with non-technical stakeholders to gain alignment, inform them of project progress, and ensure their part of the project is also delivered.

We are looking for:
- a related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
- 5+ years of experience
- advanced Excel, SQL and analytical skills

What is the work?
Analytics / Reporting & Documentation / Testing:
- Identifies / documents functional and non-functional requirements
- Ensures Product Management and business stakeholders understanding impacts of requests on the project, associated applications, and other business units
- Influences / manages scope change
- Refines requirements (user stories) so they are readily consumable by software Engineers
- Owns end-to-end quality strategy for group of closely aligned product(s)
- Develops test cases designed to validate functional and non-functional system requirements
- Executes / facilitates execution of test scripts based on test cases
- Works in testing tools or frameworks to create automated testing suites for one or more systems
- Uses data to drive decisions
- Applies a high-level understanding of each product's system architecture and the technologies used to move / modify data in them (e.g., queues / messaging services, webservices, APIs, databases)
- Assists Engineers in debugging / troubleshooting issues involving data or the accuracy of data, in day-to-day work and production support scenarios
- Researches external systems as needed to reverse engineer or understand their function through data extraction and validation
- Contributes to refinement of SDLC-related tools, standards, and training
- Influences business process improvements / product roadmap
- Serves as domain subject matter expert
- Mentors others

What is your background?
- A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
- 5+ years of experience
- Experience successfully working in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment
- Experience supporting retail, supply chain, ecommerce, or digital marketing operations a plus
