Description: Role Specific Responsibilities
* Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all vessel machinery on their watch, as directed by the Chief Engineer
* Ensures the preventive maintenance has been done on all machinery, outlined in the vessel maintenance schedule
* Ensures tools, equipment, parts, and supplies are inventoried, cleaned and organized
* Completes necessary paperwork (engine room logs, preventative maintenance work orders, supply orders, equipment lists, etc.)
* Maintains cleanliness of all machinery spaces
* Compliance with the Safety Management System
* Compliance with applicable regulations
* Reports unsafe conditions to your supervisor and take action to prevent accidents
* Performs additional duties as assigned

Requirements:
Licensing Requirements
* Possess, at minimum, a DDE 4000 USCG License
* Knowledge of all vessel systems; hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, diesel, propulsion, and auxiliaries
* Possess a current Passport
* Possess a current TWIC
* Skills with welding and carpentry are preferred
