Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across commercial and industrial settings. Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring adherence to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute projects.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring installations safely on construction sites or during renovation projects.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for wiring, conduit bending, panel installation, and other electrical tasks.
- Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to coordinate installation schedules and project timelines.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low-voltage systems integral to industrial operations.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints for accurate wiring layouts in accordance with local codes.
- Assist in the training or mentoring of apprentices or junior electricians when needed. Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems and safety standards.
- Proven experience working as an electrician in industrial settings with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.
- Experience with commercial electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, and low-voltage wiring.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) compliance requirements for safe electrical installations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Knowledge of local electrical codes and safety procedures applicable to construction sites or renovation projects.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring and industrial electrical components is highly desirable.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, power drills, conduit benders, wire strippers, and other essential equipment.
- Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project demands while maintaining safety standards.
- Additional handyman skills such as framing carpentry or general maintenance are a plus but not required.
