Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workover Rig Supervisor to lead rig crews and oversee safe and efficient well-servicing operations. This role manages daily field activities, coordinates outside services, maintains productivity standards, and provides technical leadership at the well site.
The ideal candidate has extensive workover-rig experience, including time as an Operator, with strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and working knowledge of all workover-rig components and equipment.
Duties
- Lead, supervise, and support workover-rig crew members in daily operations.
- Plan and coordinate daily activities, including required outside services.
- Maintain safe, productive, and efficient rig operations while meeting company expectations.
- Communicate regularly with management and field personnel.
- Troubleshoot and resolve rig, equipment, and well-site operational issues.
- Prepare required reports and track operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and applicable regulations.
- Complete required safety training and promote safe work practices among crew members.
- Provide technical assistance, supervision, and hands-on training to team members.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all workover-rig systems, components, and related equipment.
- Assist with manual labor necessary to operate and maintain well-servicing equipment. Qualifications
- Five or more years of workover-rig experience, including experience as an Operator.
- Thorough knowledge of workover-rig operations.
- Basic understanding of downhole tools.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot rig mechanics and equipment at the well site.
- Basic computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Current standard safety credentials, including OSHA training and well-control certifications.
- Ability to perform manual labor required in workover-rig and well-servicing operations.
- Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules as operational needs require.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. Compensation and Benefits
