Role Description This is a contract, on-site Junior Business Intelligence Consultant role based in Ashburn, VA. The Junior Business Intelligence Consultant will support data analysis and reporting efforts by assisting in the design and maintenance of dashboards and data models to drive actionable insights. Day-to-day responsibilities include working with ETL processes to prepare and transform data, supporting data warehousing initiatives, and ensuring data quality and consistency across systems. The role involves collaborating with senior consultants, technical teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, document specifications, and contribute to the delivery of BI solutions. The consultant will also help monitor performance of BI tools and suggest improvements that align with client goals. Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support business decision-making.
- Candidates should possess skills in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes to prepare, cleanse, and integrate data from multiple sources.
- Candidates should possess experience with Dashboard creation and visualization tools to present insights clearly and effectively.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Data Modeling to design efficient and scalable structures for reporting and analytics.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Data Warehousing concepts to support storage, organization, and retrieval of enterprise data.
- Relevant qualifications include proficiency with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar), SQL skills, and basic understanding of databases.
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred, along with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Ashburn, VA, manage multiple tasks, and learn quickly in a consulting environment is essential.
