Our hospital hours are Mon.-Fri. 7:00am to 6:00pm
Veterinary Receptionist must possess critical thinking and problem solving skills, compassion, a positive attitude, follow-through, excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Able to work 30-40 hours per week
- Basic math and writing skills are required
- Must be able to lift 30lbs safely
Responsibilities:
- Greeting clients and pets, taking care of their needs as quickly and efficiently as possible
- Checking in appointments, surgeries, boarding and drop offs. Gathering information and making sure it is recorded in the appropriate place
- Answering phones, giving out general information (services,etc), setting appointments for the doctors, updating client/pet information in the computer. Taking messages and making sure the doctor receives them. Calling clients to confirm appointments and after their pet has been seen.
- Dispensing medications, food and product in hospital
- knowledge of these, plus watching our on line Pharmacy for prescription requests
- Checking clients out, taking payment, giving pet report cards and making sure client understands the specifics of the visit and anything they may be taking home
- Faxing and scanning medical records
- General cleaning duties
- making sure waiting room and exam rooms are presentable Benefits available and will be discussed during interviewing process
