- Process and verify invoices using various financial software such as Workday, SAP, or QuickBooks to ensure proper coding and approval.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions with general ledger entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage vendor relationships by resolving invoice discrepancies and responding to inquiries promptly.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Support accounts payable automation initiatives to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Prepare journal entries related to accounts payable activities and assist with month-end closing procedures.
- Maintain organized records of all transactions while handling sensitive information with confidentiality. Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems such as Workday, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, Sage, or PeopleSoft.
- Experience with financial software including QuickBooks, Quicken, ADP, Ceridian, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with accounting concepts like double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Excel data analysis using formulas like VLOOKUP and creating detailed spreadsheets for reporting purposes.
- Understanding of internal controls related to SOX compliance and financial data security.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to communicate clearly across teams and handle confidential information responsibly.
