Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, contributing to safe, efficient, and reliable electrical operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction and renovations to ongoing maintenance of complex electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to accurately execute installation and repair tasks.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage system installations in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards and local electrical codes.
- Diagnose electrical issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques to identify faults in industrial electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other automation equipment.
- Ensure all work adheres to electrical safety procedures, including proper grounding, circuit protection, and lockout/tagout protocols.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to coordinate electrical wiring, framing carpentry, and other related tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, upgrades, and compliance documentation for all electrical work performed. Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, and industrial automation components such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), local electrical codes, and safety procedures.
- Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and electrical blueprints.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical installations or upgrades.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools including voltmeters and ohmmeters for troubleshooting complex electrical issues.
- Ability to operate power tools safely while adhering to safety standards; handyman or general construction experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot diverse electrical systems efficiently in fast-paced environments.
