Job Overview Serves as the primary bridge between TCH’s business functions and technology solutions. This role is responsible for understanding business requirements, optimizing enterprise systems, leading technology-enabled process improvements and coordinating system implementations and integrations. The Business Systems Analyst will have primary responsibility for TCH’s ERP and business applications, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC 365), and will play a key role in acquisitions, systems integrations, upgrades, and other strategic technology initiatives. This position partners closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, HR, branch leadership, the Network Administrator, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure technology solutions effectively support TCH’s current operations and future growth. Duties ERP & Business Systems
- Serve as the primary technical internal resource for BC 365 administration and related business applications.
- Partner with business leaders and users to understand business processes, identify requirements, and translate business needs to technology solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, eliminate manual processes, and increase efficiency through system enhancements and automation.
- Coordinate Business Central enhancements, upgrades, testing, implementation, and user acceptance testing.
- Troubleshoot business-system issues and coordinate resolution with software vendors and implementation partners.
- Maintain system configurations, documentation, process maps, and business requirements.
- Support reporting, data integrity and integration between enterprise applications.
- Develop strong knowledge of how TCH’s business processes are supported by technology. Strategic Projects & Systems Integration
- Lead technology-related projects from requirements gathering through implementation.
- Develop project plans, timelines, requirements, testing plans, implementation activities, and stakeholder communications.
- Partner with the Network Administrator on infrastructure, network, security, and end-user components of technology projects.
- Monitor project risks, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Business Process Improvement
- Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements using technology.
- Facilitate discussions with business stakeholders to document current-state and future-state processes.
- Identify opportunities for automation and standardization across TCH locations.
- Develop business cases and recommendations for technology investments.
- Help establish technology priorities based on business impact, risk, cost, and organizational needs. Vendor & Technology Asset Management
- Serve as the primary business relationship owner for key software vendors, implementation partners, and technology service providers.
- Coordinate vendor selection, implementation activities, service expectations, and issue resolution.
- Monitor vendor performance and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Coordinate software licensing, renewals, contracts, and technology subscriptions.
- Maintain visibility into technology contracts, renewal dates, costs, and utilization.
- Partner with Finance and business leaders to support IT budgeting and technology investment decisions.
- Partner with Network Administrator on hardware inventory and lifecycle planning. Documentation, Training & Change Support
- Develop system documentation, process maps, procedures, and user guides.
- Coordinate training for new systems, enhancements, and processes.
- Support change management and communications associated with technology implementations.
- Ensure users understand new processes and system functionality.
- Gather post-implementation feedback and recommend improvements. Other duties as assigned Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in business systems analysis, ERP administration, technology project management, or related work.
- Experience working with ERP or enterprise business applications.
- Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into technology solutions.
- Experience coordinating system implementations, integrations, or upgrades.
- Strong project management, analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred
- Experience with BC 365
- Experience in distribution, manufacturing, construction products, or multi-location operations.
- Experience with Google Workspace and workflow automation tools.
- Experience managing technology vendors and software contracts. Working Conditions Office environment with extended periods of computer work; workstation offers the ability to sit or stand. Periodic site visits which may be dusty or loud and require walking on a variety of surfaces and the use of Personal Protective Equipment; periodic Warehouse environment including walking. Benefits
