Customer Service Representative

Position Overview: Pest-X Exterminating is seeking a dedicated, motivated, and growth-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our office team in Walkertown, NC. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver exceptional customer service while supporting overall office operations. This position will also serve as a backup to our Inbound Sales Representative, assisting with incoming calls and helping convert leads when needed. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable on the phone, not opposed to selling, and willing to step in to help convert opportunities and recommend additional services when the situation calls for it.

Key Responsibilities

- Answer inbound calls promptly, professionally, and with a high level of engagement
- Support inbound lead handling as a secondary/backup resource, assisting with call volume and conversions when needed
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, text to address inquiries and concerns
- Assist in converting inbound leads into scheduled services
- Identify customer needs and recommend additional services (upselling/cross-selling) when appropriate
- Collaborate with the sales team to track and manage leads, ensuring efficient workflow
- Assist the back office with receivables collection and updating customer information
- Support front office operations including billing, statements, and scheduling
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and account details
- Conduct quality control calls to new and existing customers, documenting results
- Generate positive customer reviews to strengthen both personal and company reputation
- Handle Tier 1 customer complaints promptly and effectively, providing appropriate solutions
- Follow up with customers to ensure full resolution and satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through clear, professional communication
- Provide coverage for front office duties during peak times or staff absences
- Adhere to company communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
- Stay informed on pest control services, products, and industry trends
- Remain flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed What We’re Looking For:

- Willingness to support sales efforts (not opposed to inbound sales conversations)
- Ability to recognize opportunities to upsell or add services naturally during customer interactions
- Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
