Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable dining experience from the moment they arrive. In this role, you will manage restaurant reservations, greet guests with warmth and professionalism, and coordinate seating arrangements to ensure smooth flow and guest satisfaction. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help foster a hospitable environment that encourages guest loyalty and enhances overall restaurant operations. - Welcome guests warmly as they arrive, providing friendly and attentive guest services
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating requests efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as TOAST POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization while minimizing wait times
- Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, assisting with reservations, inquiries, and guest needs
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, waitlists, and guest preferences to enhance guest relations
- Support food safety standards by communicating effectively with kitchen staff regarding special requests or dietary needs
- Assist in organizing the dining area to ensure cleanliness, safety, and a welcoming atmosphere Experience
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in a busy restaurant environment is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally and courteously
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette
- Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and guest billing when necessary
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently
