ERP Systems Manager

We are seeking an experienced ERP Systems Manager to own the day-to-day operation, administration, training, adoption, and continuous improvement of our ERP system. IMPORTANT: This is NOT a programming, coding, software development, or database development position. Candidates with professional programming or software-development experience will not be considered for this role. We are specifically looking for an ERP business-process and systems-management professional who knows how to make an ERP system work for the organization and ensure employees actually use it correctly. Primary Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day administration and operation of the ERP system.
- Ensure that employees and departments use the ERP correctly and consistently.
- Train new and existing employees on ERP processes and procedures.
- Develop ERP training materials, procedures, and work instructions.
- Identify users or departments that are not properly utilizing the ERP and provide corrective training.
- Drive ERP adoption and accountability throughout the organization.
- Work directly with managers to improve ERP processes.
- Gather business requirements for system changes and customizations.
- Coordinate customizations with outside or internal development resources.
- Test and validate customizations before deployment.
- Manage new ERP module rollouts from planning through implementation.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing.
- Train employees before new modules and functionality go live.
- Monitor adoption following implementation.
- Manage users, permissions, workflows, and system procedures.
- Identify manual processes that should be moved into the ERP.
- Work across Operations, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Sales, and Management.
- Ensure the ERP accurately reflects what is actually happening in the business. Required Experience Candidates should have demonstrated experience with:
- ERP system administration or management
- ERP implementations or module rollouts
- Employee ERP training
- User adoption and accountability
- Business-process improvement
- Requirements gathering
- User acceptance testing
- Workflow management
- ERP documentation and procedures
- Cross-functional implementation projects Manufacturing ERP experience is strongly preferred. Experience with manufacturing functions such as production scheduling, purchasing, inventory, material management, quality, labor tracking, job costing, CRM, or similar processes is highly desirable. Coding / Programming Experience We are intentionally NOT hiring a programmer for this position. Candidates whose professional background includes software development, application development, database development, or programming/coding roles will not be considered. This includes candidates whose primary professional experience involves languages or development technologies such as: C#, .
NET, ASP.
NET, JavaScript development, Python, Java, PHP, Visual Basic, or similar programming technologies.
The ERP Systems Manager will work with development resources but will not perform development. The responsibility of this position is to: Understand the business → Define the requirements → Coordinate the customization → Test it → Train the users → Implement it → Ensure everyone uses it.
