Middle School Orchestra Teacher — Altadena & Pueblo Kyrene School District | 2026–27 School Year Help students find their sound, and the confidence that comes with it. Kyrene School District is seeking an orchestra teacher to serve students at Altadena and Pueblo middle schools. This is an opportunity to turn your passion for music into meaningful moments for students as they develop their skills, discover their creativity and learn what they can accomplish together. Your impact As a middle school orchestra teacher, you’ll help students grow as musicians and as individuals. Through engaging instruction, you’ll build their musical knowledge and instrumental skills while creating a classroom where students feel seen, valued and challenged to grow. We’re looking for an educator who brings enthusiasm for music education, connects with middle school students and helps learners at different skill levels experience progress and pride in their work. Position details
- School year: 2026–27
- Locations: Altadena and Pueblo middle schools
- Weekly schedule: 24 hours at Altadena and 16 hours at Pueblo
- Work calendar: 194 work days; 216-day calendar for new teachers
- Compensation: Based on the district’s certified salary schedule Qualifications
- Arizona Elementary or Secondary Teacher Certification with Music as an approved area, or a Music K–12 Endorsement. Candidates may also hold a valid Arts Education Certificate.
- Valid IVP Level One Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
- Structured English Immersion (SEI) endorsement preferred. Bring your passion for music to Kyrene. Help students experience the excitement of learning an instrument, the connection of playing together and the confidence of achieving something they once thought was out of reach. Pay: $52,000.00
