We are looking for a Head of Marketing to define our clients marketing strategy and build a predictable, scalable engine for growth. This is a brand and messaging-first role — we need someone who can sharpen how the our client talks about itself and establish a category narrative that makes buyers move, then back it up with demand generation that produces pipeline.
You will own the full marketing function: demand generation, product marketing, brand, content,
field and partner marketing. But this is not a role for a manager of managers who delegates
everything. We need someone leading from the front — setting strategy and executing in a
fast-moving environment, building with a lean team, and using AI and modern tooling to punch
well above headcount.
Your mission is to build a category-defining brand, create qualified pipeline, co-market with
partners, and equip their revenue organization to win.
This Role Is Responsible For
● Owning our marketing strategy, operating plan, budget, and performance
● Building a predictable pipeline engine aligned with revenue goals
● Defining positioning, messaging, and category narrative
● Leading demand generation, product marketing, content, brand, events, partner
marketing, and marketing operations
● Establishing clear attribution, reporting, and accountability for marketing performance
● Building and developing a lean, high-performing marketing team
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy and Leadership ● Develop and execute a marketing strategy aligned with growth goals and $100M ARR trajectory ● Translate company objectives into clear priorities, programs, budgets, and performance targets ● Build the marketing operating cadence and capabilities required to scale ● Evaluate market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities ● Allocate resources toward the programs and channels with the greatest potential impact ● Provide leadership with clear reporting on performance, risks, and opportunities Demand Generation and Pipeline ● Own marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline targets ● Build integrated campaigns across digital, content, events, partners, and account-based marketing ● Partner with Sales to define target accounts, improve lead quality, and increase conversion ● Develop programs that support customer acquisition, expansion, and retention ● Continuously test and optimize channels, campaigns, messaging, and offers using a disciplined, hypothesis-driven approach ● Stand up AI-native workflows for content production, campaign execution, and reporting so a lean team can operate at the output of a much larger one Product Marketing and Positioning ● Define and evolve positioning, messaging, and category narrative — this is the single most important thing this hire will do ● Translate technical capabilities into clear, compelling customer value for buyers who are skeptical of change ● Develop a strong understanding of buyers, users, use cases, and competitive landscape ● Lead go-to-market planning for product launches and new capabilities ● Equip Sales and Partnerships with messaging, collateral, competitive intelligence, and enablement ● Build customer stories and proof points that demonstrate measurable business value Brand, Content, and Market Presence ● Strengthen brand and establish a consistent, bold voice across channels ● Develop a content strategy that builds awareness, educates the market, and generates demand ● Increase visibility through thought leadership, public relations, events, and industry participation ● Oversee the website, organic search strategy, social presence, and digital experience ● Drive category-level thinking
- our client has an opportunity to define the narrative for an industry being modernized Team and Cross-Functional Leadership ● Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing marketing team ● Set clear expectations, establish accountability, and provide regular coaching ● Partner closely with Sales on pipeline goals, campaign execution, and sales enablement ● Collaborate with Product to bring customer and market insights into product strategy ● Work with Partnerships on joint campaigns, co-marketing, and ecosystem development ● Partner with Customer Success to support adoption, advocacy, retention, and expansion Requirements ● 8+ years of B2B marketing experience, including leadership experience at a SaaS or technology company — ideally across a 20→200 or growth-stage arc where you had to build the plane while flying it ● Brand and messaging-first orientation: you believe the narrative comes before the channel, and you have experience building positioning for technical or complex products that had to win over skeptical buyers ● Demonstrated success building marketing programs that generated measurable pipeline and revenue — you've been held accountable to a pipeline number and hit it ● Generalist profile: experience spanning product marketing, demand gen, content, and brand — candidates who are strong in only one lane are not the right fit ● Hands-on operator who can set strategy and execute; not a manager of managers waiting for a large team to build under them ● Fluent, hands-on use of AI tools in your actual workflow — building agentic workflows, prompting for content or analysis, or using AI to scale a lean team; you should be able to speak concretely to what you've built, not just that you "use AI" ● Strong command of marketing analytics, attribution, funnel metrics, and budget management ● Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate complex technical value into clear narratives for buyers, executives, and the board
