Key responsibilities
include performing a full range of general thoracic procedures with an emphasis on robotic and minimally invasive techniques , providing perioperative care , participating in clinical and outcomes research , and engaging in teaching and mentorship . The role involves collaborating within a multidisciplinary team and developing regional referral networks. Qualifications include an MD/DO, board certification or eligibility in thoracic surgery, completion of ACGME-accredited training , and eligibility for Texas medical licensure . Candidates should demonstrate expertise in minimally invasive and robotic thoracic surgery and a commitment to academic contributions . Preferred experience includes advanced robotic lung resections, esophagectomies, and participation in clinical research .
