Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques. Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, documenting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration. Administer medications following care plans and medication administration protocols under supervision or as trained, maintaining safety standards at all times. Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease by implementing memory care strategies and engaging them in meaningful activities. Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings to promote social engagement and independence. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning client areas, laundry, and ensuring infection control standards are met. Qualifications Previous experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities is highly preferred, especially in group home, assisted living, nursing home, or home health settings. Strong patient observation skills with the ability to recognize changes in condition or behavior promptly. Knowledge of care techniques including patient personal care assistance, manual handling, patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts, and emergency response procedures such as CPR and first aid. Familiarity with care plans, medication administration processes, HIPAA compliance, and resident’s rights is essential. Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities supports success in this role. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams. Ability to perform light to heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics; physical stamina is required for this dynamic role.
