- In office only Multi-specialty physician billing service is seeking a Medical Billing Insurance A/R Specialist
- 2-4 plus years of medical billing experience and a working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT4 coding is required
- Prior experience and working knowledge of the Revenue Cycle Management tasks of data entry, payment posting and collection activities
- Must have prior experience and working knowledge of claims, appeals, explanation of benefits and working insurance accounts receivable reports
- Familiar with medical terminology and coding experience is beneficial
- Great written and oral communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Current work experience with the Medisoft Patient Accounting software is highly preferred
- Working knowledge of Excel is required Must be able to multi-task and work a claim until successful completion Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical billing with a solid understanding of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, DRG classifications, and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient claim processing and record management.
- Strong knowledge of medical records management, insurance procedures, and billing software tools.
- Excellent attention to detail to accurately code procedures and diagnoses while minimizing errors.
- Ability to navigate complex insurance policies and perform effective follow-up on unpaid claims.
- Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
