Position: Mobile Victim Advocate Job Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt/Hourly Position Summary: Mobile Victim Advocates provide outreach, advocacy, crisis intervention, service referral and follow-up to victims of domestic abuse. Duties and
Responsibilities:
· Administer victim advocate caseload
· Contact victims of domestic abuse
· Interface with agencies, probation officers, courts, and attorneys
· Oversee client services
· Provide crisis support and referrals
· Complete required reports within designated timeframe.
· Conduct workshops on Domestic Abuse as needed
· Advise clients of community services and resources available to victims of domestic abuse
· Maintains and adheres to applicable policies and procedures according to state licensure requirements
· Attend Chrysalis’ required meetings and supervision sessions
· Attend training for professional and agency requirements
· Provide services to victims of domestic violence living throughout Maricopa County at safe locations most convenient to the victim
· Perform all duties in a home office setting
· Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Core Competencies
· Knowledge of community services and other resources available to victims of domestic abuse
· Ability to be self-paced
· Ability to keep and maintain confidentiality
· Ability to work from home or remote, with minimal supervision
· Ability to network and form partnerships with courts systems, community resources, etc.
· Public speaking and facilitation skills
· Strong organizational skills
· Strong critical thinking skills
· Strong communication skills
· Clean driving record with a defensive driving approach.
· Preference, bi-lingual in Spanish. Experience
Requirements:
· Bachelors in social services, criminal justice, or related field.
· Minimum of 1 years’ experience working with victims of domestic violence or other trauma survivors \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Other
Requirements:
· Working knowledge of Office software—word processing, spreadsheets, and database
· Ability to utilize effective communication skills
· Ability to utilize organization, facilitation, and presentation skills
· Ability to travel to different locations within Maricopa county
· Fingerprint clearance card through AZDPS or ability to obtain one
· Must have or be able to obtain current CPR/First Aid certification
· Must be able to provide evidence of negative TB testing. *\*While many of the duties for this role are performed remotely, adherence to Chrysalis Policies and Procedures regarding confidentiality must still be maintained. All remote activities must be conducted in an environment where client, staff, and Chrysalis confidential information will be not compromised.* Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:
· Walk
· Stand and or sit for extended periods
· Reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or possibly crawl.
· Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Must provide own transportation and automobile insurance and have the ability to travel throughout the community; must be able to pass a fingerprint and background clearance as required by Chrysalis and ADHS licensure requirements; must maintain current CPR and first aid training as required by Chrysalis policies. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must possess knowledge and understanding of standard office equipment; be proficient with personal computers and applicable software programs. Effectively communicate (verbal and written).
