About the Role
· Teach participants meal planning, grocery shopping, recipe reading, knife skills, food safety, and kitchen organization.
· Create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
· A mobile role with movement around Wayne County but with a M-F schedule What You Will Do
· Teach food safety, nutrition, allergen awareness, and cooking techniques.
· Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food quality standards.
· Assist with purchasing ingredients and managing supplies.
· Collaborate with participants and staff on menus and lessons.
· Participate in community outings, gardening activities, catering events, and more Qualifications
· 2-5 years of experience in food service, hospitality, or culinary arts.
· Valid or previously held ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
· ServSafe Manager Certification or ability to obtain.
· Valid Michigan Driver License.
· Ability to pass background check and meet insurance requirements.
