Role Description The Spring 2027 Legal Intern role is a part-time, hybrid position located in Brooklyn, NY. The intern will assist attorneys with legal research, case law and statutory analysis, and preparation of memoranda on civil, commercial, intellectual property, and real estate matters. Daily tasks include drafting and reviewing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and correspondence, as well as organizing case files, exhibits, and discovery materials. The intern may support attorneys in preparation for hearings, depositions, negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations, including creating summaries and outlines. The role also includes tracking deadlines, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to client-focused solutions under attorney supervision. Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Law, including interest in civil, commercial, intellectual property, and real estate matters.
• Ability to address Legal Issues through thorough research, case analysis, and application of relevant statutes and regulations.
• Experience or training in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, editing, and formatting pleadings, motions, contracts, and memoranda.
• Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and professionally.
• Interest or background in Legal Consulting, including assisting with client-focused strategies, risk assessment, and practical solutions.
• Currently enrolled in a J.
D. Program in an accredited U.
S. law school and in good academic standing; completion of at least one year of law school preferred.
• Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, Lexis, or similar platforms) and strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and ability to work collaboratively in an on-site, fast-paced boutique firm environment.
