About The Role
YO AI Labs is seeking a Senior Mobile Software Engineer to work as a remote contractor on an AI training project. This role is suited to an engineer with substantial mobile development experience who can translate real-world engineering problems into well-defined tasks and reliable evaluation materials. You will design challenges that test practical skills such as debugging, feature development, refactoring, and performance optimization. You will also create environments in which proposed solutions can be run and assessed consistently. The expected commitment is approximately 15 hours per week. Compensation is based on completed tasks that meet project specifications. Weekly submission requirements and project workflows will be explained during onboarding. Selection typically takes around 48 hours, and selected candidates should be prepared to begin within 24 to 48 hours after onboarding. Qualifications Candidates should have strong professional experience in at least one of the following mobile development tracks:
• Cross-platform development with React Native, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Flutter and Dart.
• iOS development with Swift, SwiftUI, or UIKit.
• Android development with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, or Android Views. You should have a deep understanding of mobile architecture, application state management, and lifecycle behavior, along with strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Experience identifying and improving mobile application performance is important. You should be able to write reliable tests, create clear reference implementations, and explain expected behavior in a way that supports objective evaluation. The role also requires careful attention to detail, independent work habits, and the ability to follow task specifications and meet agreed submission requirements. Responsibilities
• Design challenging mobile coding tasks covering debugging, feature implementation, refactoring, and performance optimization.
• Develop problems involving application state, lifecycle management, and asynchronous programming.
• Build reproducible environments for running and testing AI-generated solutions.
• Create deterministic verifiers that evaluate whether a solution meets the task requirements.
• Develop reference solutions that demonstrate correct, dependable approaches to each task.
• Review task materials for clarity, completeness, consistency, and alignment with project quality standards.
• Document setup instructions, expected outcomes, and relevant test conditions so tasks can be evaluated reliably.
