Salary:
$106,000+ per year ($51+/hour) Schedule: Availability for night work and changing construction schedules required. Infra Tech Engineering, LLC seeks Construction Inspectors to observe and document assigned highway construction activities under the direction of the Chief Inspector and NYSDOT’s Engineer-In-Charge. Responsibilities
• Inspect assigned work for conformity with approved plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Record daily construction activities, personnel, equipment, weather, work locations, and progress.
• Measure completed work and maintain accurate quantity calculations, sketches, delivery tickets, and photographs.
• Verify material documentation and perform or witness sampling and testing within the inspector’s qualifications.
• Observe work-zone traffic-control conditions and promptly report deficiencies.
• Document nonconforming work and communicate concerns to the Chief Inspector and Engineer-In-Charge.
• Submit complete, accurate daily inspection reports and supporting records. Assist with punch-list inspections and final quantity verification Requirements Candidate qualifications
• Relevant highway construction inspection experience.
• Ability to read construction plans, perform quantity calculations, and prepare clear daily reports.
• NYSDOT inspection experience preferred.
• Applicable NICET certification or NYSDOT-approved equivalent qualifications for the assigned classification.
• Materials-testing and other task-specific certifications where required.
• Ability to perform assigned field duties safely, with reasonable accommodation.
