Role Overview:
The Sales Assistant serves as a vital dual-support role bridging front-of-house customer service and hospitality with back-of-house operational flow. By blending customer experience and ad-hoc client hosting with core stockroom functions, the Sales Assistant maintains floor readiness, elevates customer satisfaction, and provides operational efficiency to optimize the overall client experience. This role flexes dynamically based on business flow and store needs — acting as floor support, runner, cashier, stock organizer, host, and brand ambassador.
Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Experience Support
· Assist Stylists and management in delivering exceptional service on the sales floor.
· Flex dynamically between floor roles including runner, greeter, cashier, and answering client inquiries.
· Provide hosting duties as needed — such as offering beverages, welcoming incoming clients, and ensuring all guests on the floor are acknowledged and actively assisted by the styling team.
· Provide attentive, gracious customer service and assist clients with basic product needs and requests.
· Monitor details of transactions, including alterations, shipping, and omni-channel fulfillment/returns.
· Maintain a basic knowledge of current fashion trends, seasonal collections, and FRAME's aesthetic. Operations & Stockroom Management
· Support back-of-house logistics including shipment receiving, unpacking, and processing.
· Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient stockroom to ensure smooth sales floor replenishment.
· Assist with garment care, including steaming, hanging, and preparing merchandise for display.
· Process inventory transfers, RTVs, online returns, damages, and cycle counts.
· Help maintain store supply levels and monitor stock equipment/tools.
· Follow loss prevention, safety, and security guidelines at all times. Merchandising & Floor Maintenance
· Maintain selling floor standards, ensuring racks, tables, and fitting rooms are orderly and aligned with brand visual directives.
· Communicate stock level needs and fast-moving items between the backroom and management team.
· Support floor setup, visual merchandising updates, and promotional event preparation. Qualifications & Skills
·
Experience:
1+ years of retail, customer service, or stockroom/inventory experience in a high-end contemporary or luxury retail environment.
·
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
· Adaptability: Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and seamlessly transition between inventory operations and customer-facing support in a fast-paced setting.
· Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual proficiency is a plus.
· Teamwork: Collaborative spirit with high self-awareness, strong work ethic, and attention to detail. Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
· Ability to lift, carry, and move boxes, hangers, and merchandise weighing up to 15 pounds.
· Capability to climb ladders, stairs, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movement for stock and visual displays.
· Experience operating Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and basic inventory software.
