Role Description The Carpenter Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in Austin,TX, responsible for leading and coordinating carpentry crews on commercial and industrial construction projects. This role oversees the layout, installation, and construction of framing, walls, ceilings, doors, and other building components, ensuring work meets project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. Day-to-day tasks include assigning work, monitoring progress, providing hands-on carpentry support, and troubleshooting issues in the field. The Carpenter Foreman collaborates closely with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to maintain schedules, manage materials and equipment, and support accurate documentation of work performed. The role also includes coaching crew members, enforcing safety policies, and contributing to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement on the job site. Qualifications
• Strong supervisory skills, including crew leadership, task delegation, and performance oversight.
• Proficient carpentry skills in framing, drywall, finishing, and general construction practices.
• Experience operating and coordinating the use of heavy equipment and relevant power tools.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, site leadership, and project stakeholders.
• Knowledge of routine maintenance and care of tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety, OSHA standards, and safe work practices.
• Previous experience as a lead carpenter, foreman, or similar construction supervisory role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Reliable attendance, ability to work in varying weather conditions, and perform physical tasks required on a construction site.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certifications in carpentry or construction management are beneficial.
