We are a multi-brand Children’s Apparel company seeking a skilled, organized, and reliable Technical Designer to support our design and production process across multiple collections.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys detailed apparel work and is comfortable spending much of the day at a computer creating and updating tech packs.
The right person works quickly without losing accuracy, follows projects through, communicates clearly with factories.
Must be comfortable and willing to step-in and supporting team members with sample-room, showroom and photo-shoot preparation.
Responsibilities:
Create, update, and maintain accurate apparel tech packs using the company’s established formats and factory requirements. Work closely with the designer and design team to clarify construction details, measurements, artwork, materials, trims, and product specifications. Prepare and refine prints and patterns, including artwork cleanup, repeat development, and production-ready files. Communicate with factories to answer questions, relay corrections, and follow up on revisions and outstanding requests. Track sample comments and corrections, organize factory responses, and help ensure requested changes are understood and completed. Help prepare, organize, and manage samples in the showroom, especially during sales periods. Create clear, visually appealing line sheets in Apparel Magic. Training on the platform and the company’s process will be provided. Help prepare for and support in-house and on-location photo shoots, including greeting models and assisting with shoot-day organization. Manage multiple projects and deadlines while keeping information organized and details accurate. Use AI tools thoughtfully to support design, artwork, and workflow efficiency, and stay open to learning new tools and methods.
Requirements:
Experience creating fashion or apparel tech packs and communicating product specifications to factories. Strong Adobe Illustrator skills and the ability to work efficiently and confidently in the program. Ability to prepare and refine prints and patterns for production. Familiarity with AI tools and an interest in applying them to improve design, artwork, or workflow efficiency. Comfort helping with sample-room preparation and organization and photo-shoot support. Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. Clear, professional communication skills, including factory correspondence. Ability to work at a fast, steady pace, manage time-sensitive projects, and meet deadlines. Comfort with computer-focused work for much of the day. Reliability, punctuality, maturity, and a respectful, collaborative approach. Monday
