Consumer and Youth Outreach Director

Brief Position Description a. Responsible to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). b. Recommends and participates in committee formulation of policy to the Youth and Pork Tent, and Promotion Committee. c. Administer youth education programs including ambassador/queen, Pig to Plate, Pork Colligate Team and other programs. d. Mange Pork Tent operations c. Due to the nature of the organization and its response to industry concerns, may be held responsible for specific duties not contained in this description at the direction of the CEO. Qualification/Background Requirements College degree in communications, marketing, event planning, education or closely related field. Skills Should possess an understanding of administrative procedures, agriculture youth programs, consumer programs. The ability to work effectively with people, and the ability to communicate well both in verbal and written form. The position will require some travel within the State of Iowa using an association provided vehicle. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required.
