POSITION SUMMARY &
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Independent contributor owning full-cycle facilities design for assigned pads/projects, from Basis of Design through construction support Develop project plans for engineering projects and work with oversight to manage those projects within time and budget constraints. Key Reponsibilities:
• Work with Engineering Staff and Operations personnel to diagnose problems and improve facility performance.
• Author and own Basis of Design (BOD) documents for new pad facilities
• Facilitate or lead HAZOPs as node lead
• Select and size equipment per ASME/API standards (12F/650 tanks, Section VIII Div 1 vessels)
• Justify and submit AFEs for facilities scope within delegated authority
• Coordinate with Production Engineering, Regulatory, and Land on integrated pad design POSITION
REQUIREMENTS:
• BS Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or Civil Engineering
• 5–8 years relevant experience
Qualifications:
• Proficient in oilfield facilities codes/standards/RPs and P&ID development
• Demonstrated independent judgment on design/cost trade-offs
• Comfortable presenting recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders
• Portfolio-level (multi-pad) design ownership is the defining scope shift from Engineer I
• Owns the BOD as a reusable, multi-pad standard — not a one-off document
• HAZOP facilitation authority (node lead) begins here
• First title expected to mentor without formal management authority
