About The Role
We are seeking a motivated, career-oriented Junior Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team in Springfield, VA. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure, and eager to develop their expertise in systems engineering and administration. As a Junior Cloud Engineer, you will collaborate with a team of professionals to deliver high-quality cloud solutions, support infrastructure projects, and assist in the implementation of innovative services. Your contributions will directly impact our clients' operational efficiency and security posture. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to learning and development. Qualifications The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree with at least 1 year of relevant technical experience; however, an additional 2 years of experience can substitute for a degree. Demonstrated knowledge of the System Engineering Lifecycle, Sentris, and Microsoft Azure is essential. Candidates must have proven capabilities in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving infrastructure, cloud, and application-level issues under tight deadlines. Compliance with DoD 8140.03 (Cybersecurity Workforce Management Program) is required, and candidates must possess or obtain within six months an approved baseline credential matching the DoD 8140 Work Role System Administrator (451). Analytical skills to interpret KPI and SLA data and provide insights into performance variances are also necessary. Responsibilities
• Serve our Microsoft Azure customers by executing project tasks, supervising work completion, conducting quality reviews, and reporting progress effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver systems engineering and administration services for Azure, ITSM, Sentris, and Sentris-integrated solutions, ensuring seamless operation and integration.
• Assist with technical design and implementation using Agile methodologies, particularly within Scrum teams. Plan, schedule, and update program activities utilizing tools such as MS Project and Azure DevOps.
• Identify high-risk areas within projects and environments, presenting well-informed recommendations to management to mitigate risks and improve performance.
• Build and maintain influential relationships with key client personnel to ensure alignment of project goals and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate root-cause analysis for complex technical errors within Azure and integrated environments, facilitating timely resolution and knowledge sharing.
