This role will act as the primary technical bridge between Finance/Accounting, and IT, with a heavy emphasis on maintaining a SOX-compliant ecosystem and designing an integrated financial reporting architecture. The goal is to ensure data integrity, automate workflows, design seamless reporting pipelines, and ensure all systems adhere to strict internal controls and financial regulations. 1. NetSuite Functional & Reporting Responsibilities
· Business Process Alignment: Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to translate business requirements into NetSuite configurations, optimizing NetSuite functionality including the chart of accounts, multi-currency settings, and subsidiary structures.
· Financial Report Engineering: Design, build, and maintain complex financial layouts, customized saved searches, SuiteAnalytics workbooks, KPIs, and real-time executive dashboards tailored to user roles.
· Workflow Design: Partner with stakeholders to map and design SuiteFlow approval workflows for procurement, invoicing, and vendor management. Technical & Integration Responsibilities
· Custom Development: Develop, test, and deploy NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript (2.1), custom records, fields, and forms to automate manual business processes.
· API Management: Build and troubleshoot API integrations and middleware configurations (e.g., custom RESTlets/SuiteTalk web services). Testing, QA & SOX Compliance
· SOX Change Management: Enforce strict adherence to ITGC (IT General Controls) and SOX change management policies. Document all changes, scripts, configurations, and modifications to key financial reports following a formal Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
· Segregation of Duties (SoD): Design, monitor, and audit NetSuite custom roles and permissions to eliminate SoD conflicts, provisioning access based on the principle of least privilege.
· Upgrade Testing: Own the technical and functional testing lifecycle in sandbox environments during bi-annual NetSuite release upgrades, managing regression testing for all scripts, workflows, and reports.
· User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Design comprehensive UAT test scripts, coordinate execution with finance power users, and preserve documented evidence of approvals for internal and external auditors.
· System Upgrade Management & Testing: Lead the comprehensive technical and functional validation lifecycle during NetSuite's bi-annual upgrades. Build, update, and execute structured automated and manual regression testing cycles inside sandbox environments to guarantee that custom scripts, user profiles, SuiteFlow workflows, and core reporting views suffer zero deprecation or disruption during production rollouts. 2. OneStream Functional & Reporting Responsibilities
· Consolidation & Reporting Support: Support the corporate finance team through month-end close by ensuring data cubes, dimensions, and financial consolidation rules match evolving corporate reporting needs.
· Cube Views & Dashboards: Design and maintain advanced OneStream Reporting Cube Views, Quick Views, and executive dashboard interfaces for consolidated financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
· Planning & Forecasting: Assist FP&A teams with configuring budget templates, forecasting models, and operational planning dimensions within the platform. Technical & Integration Responsibilities
· Rule Configuration: Build and modify business rules, member formulas, and data quality checks within OneStream.
· Data Pipelines: Manage automated data loading processes, mappings, and transformations from NetSuite into OneStream, ensuring seamless metadata synchronization. Testing, QA & SOX Compliance
· Data Integrity Auditing: Ensure compliance with SOX Section 404 by validating the accuracy and completeness of financial data mapping, transformations, and transfers between NetSuite and OneStream.
· Data Reconciliation Testing: Perform rigorous automated and manual data validation tests to verify that financial reporting figures in OneStream tie exactly back to the NetSuite general ledger.
· Patch & Version Validation: Establish test protocols for monthly or quarterly OneStream platform updates to prevent disruption to complex calculation scripts or reporting cubes.
· System Upgrade & Patch Validation: Establish, implement, and track rigid validation protocols for monthly or quarterly OneStream platform updates, environment migration patches, and cloud infrastructure changes. Conduct comprehensive testing loops on marketplace solutions and custom consolidation logic scripts to avoid calculation deviations. 3. Ramp Functional & Reporting Responsibilities
· Policy Enforcement: Configure and monitor corporate spend policies, custom approval routings, card limits, and merchant category restrictions to match company travel and expense guidelines.
· Spend Analytics & Reporting: Build and schedule localized spend visibility reports, vendor utilization analytics, and department expense trend reports for leadership.
· User Management: Oversee onboarding, card issuance, and department-level mapping for employee expenses. Technical & Integration Responsibilities
· GL Mapping Architecture: Maintain the technical architecture that auto-categorizes Ramp transaction data and maps it accurately into NetSuite segments (departments, locations, classes).
· Integration Monitoring: Monitor real-time sync logs between Ramp and NetSuite, instantly resolving data extraction errors or token expiration issues. Testing, QA & SOX Compliance
· Expense Audit Control: Maintain compliance with internal financial controls by testing and validating that card issuance limits, systemic spend approvals, and expense reporting rules in Ramp operate within corporate governance boundaries.
· End-to-End Integration Testing: Test the end-to-end accounting flow of card transactions, out-of-pocket reimbursements, and bill payments from initiation in Ramp to reporting and reconciliation in NetSuite.
· Rule Validation: Conduct routine audit tests on auto-suggested coding logic to guarantee artificial intelligence categorization maintains a high level of accuracy.
· Integration Upgrade Testing: Own testing scripts for any system integrations or API structural changes released by Ramp or NetSuite. Validate end-to-end connectivity loops for transaction records, reimbursement distributions, and bill payment workflows to maintain stable real-time postings into the general ledger. Cross-Platform Reporting, Audit & Governance
· Cross-System Reporting & Data Lakes: Oversee the structural extraction of data from NetSuite, OneStream, and Ramp into secondary reporting tools or financial data warehouses if applicable.
· Audit Readiness: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audit teams requesting system documentation, change management logs, system access reports, and configuration evidence for key financial reports.
· Tier 3 Support: Act as the highest technical support tier to troubleshoot complex system errors, data discrepancies, and reporting calculation bottlenecks. .
