About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This role involves building and supporting backend applications, REST APIs, and data-driven automation solutions that underpin core insurance business processes such as policy management, claims processing, underwriting, and billing. The successful candidate will work closely with both technical and business stakeholders to develop reliable, scalable, and secure applications that facilitate seamless integration across internal and external systems. The role emphasizes cloud deployment, CI/CD practices, unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure high-quality deliverables. As part of our team, you will contribute to the modernization of insurance systems, supporting clients in achieving operational efficiency and agility. Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience in Python backend development
• Proficiency in developing REST APIs and backend services
• Experience with Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and data processing
• Ability to optimize SQL queries and work with large datasets
• Experience in integrating applications via APIs and web services
• Knowledge of cloud-based deployment environments and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with unit testing, debugging, and production support
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and performance tuning
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Python applications supporting insurance functions such as Policy, Claims, Underwriting, and Billing systems
• Create REST APIs and backend services to facilitate system integration and data exchange
• Design and implement data-processing solutions, automations, and workflows using Python and SQL
• Work with relational databases to develop optimized queries and manage data integrity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions in an Agile/Scrum setting
• Support cloud-based deployments, including configuring CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery
• Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure application stability and performance
• Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance
• Participate in performance tuning and optimization efforts for backend services
