As an IT Asset Manager, you will oversee the lifecycle of technology assets across hardware, software, licenses, subscriptions, and related services. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory, effective asset utilization, cost optimization, license compliance, vendor coordination, and clear reporting across the technology portfolio. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, analytical, and comfortable partnering with IT, procurement, finance, legal, security, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure assets are planned, tracked, deployed, renewed, retired, and governed effectively.

Responsibilities:
Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, including planning, procurement, intake, deployment, inventory maintenance, license assignment, renewal, transfer, audit, retirement, disposal, and refresh planning. Maintain accurate and complete asset records for hardware, software, licenses, subscriptions, contracts, warranties, service agreements, ownership, cost, renewal dates, support contacts, and lifecycle status. Develop, maintain, and improve IT asset management processes, policies, standards, controls, and reporting practices to support cost control, compliance, operational readiness, and governance objectives. Partner with procurement, sourcing, finance, legal, security, and business stakeholders to support software and hardware purchasing, renewals, contract reviews, vendor onboarding, EULA review, purchase orders, forecasting, and budget planning. Support software lifecycle management activities, including request intake, business justification review, licensing analysis, usage validation, compliance tracking, renewal coordination, deployment readiness, and retirement planning. Coordinate with technical teams to support software deployment, endpoint management, inventory reconciliation, license server administration, certificate tracking, security reviews, and change-management dependencies. Perform regular audits and reconciliations of asset records against discovery tools, procurement records, deployment data, user assignments, physical counts, usage reports, and financial records. Identify opportunities to reduce waste, recover underutilized licenses or hardware, consolidate tools, avoid duplicate purchases, and optimize total cost of ownership across the IT asset portfolio. Generate and present clear asset management reports, metrics, dashboards, and recommendations for leadership, including utilization, renewals, risks, cost trends, compliance status, and lifecycle planning. Manage asset transfers, offboarding returns, repair/replacement workflows, inventory updates, and secure disposal processes in partnership with support teams and asset operations partners. Ensure asset management activities align with information security, data privacy, records retention, financial controls, software compliance, and internal audit requirements. Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in IT asset management, software asset management, hardware asset management, IT operations, procurement operations, technology finance, or a related technology governance role. Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management concepts, including procurement, deployment, inventory control, license management, renewals, audits, retirement, and disposal. Experience maintaining asset records in ITSM, ITAM, CMDB, inventory, procurement, endpoint management, or reporting systems. Working knowledge of software licensing, vendor agreements, compliance requirements, contract renewals, usage reporting, and audit support. Ability to analyze asset, financial, procurement, and usage data to identify trends, risks, cost-saving opportunities, and process improvements. Excellent organizational, documentation, communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners, including IT support, engineering, procurement, finance, legal, security, operations, and business teams. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with competing priorities, evolving business needs, and complex technical dependencies. Qualifications:
Experience with software lifecycle management, license optimization, vendor management, renewal forecasting, and software compliance in an enterprise environment. Experience with ITSM or workflow tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, or similar platforms. Familiarity with procurement, sourcing, legal, security, and finance processes related to software and hardware acquisition. Experience building dashboards, reports, metrics, or data models using Excel, Power BI, Airtable, or similar reporting tools. Familiarity with ITIL, ITAM, SAM, HAM, CMDB, audit, change management, and governance frameworks. Experience supporting creative, production, engineering, attraction, or operational technology environments. Required

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
