About Us
Manchester RBG (MRBG) is a Cleveland-based fractional+ management advisory firm serving privately held companies, from construction, manufacturing and the trades to distribution, logistics and professional services. We roll up our sleeves and work alongside clients, bringing fresh perspective and day-to-day execution support to help leaders build stronger, more valuable companies. Learn more about the firm and what it is like to work here on our LinkedIn page. Job Summary MRBG is seeking a Technology & Systems Associate who builds the tools our clients run their businesses on. The right candidate is a developer at heart who wants that work to land inside a real company: an application that replaces the spreadsheet an operations team lives in, an integration between two systems that were never meant to talk, a report the software could not produce on its own. The Associate learns clients' ERP and operating systems from the inside, works alongside the Associate Director of Technology on active engagements, and owns what is built from the first version through the maintenance that keeps it trusted. As AI reshapes how we and our clients work, good judgment is becoming our most important skill. Compensation This role is paid a percentage commission on all hours billed to clients; the hourly range shown on this posting is earned per billed hour. Employees have the freedom to set their weekly hours, and billing rates step up as employees advance through the firm's tiers. Benefits are available to full-time employees (minimum 30 billable hours per week). We are interested in speaking with Associates with experience in:
• Application development
• Data, SQL, and reporting
• System integrations and APIs
• ERP or business systems administration
• Process documentation Essential Functions Client Partnership & Communication
• Work directly with client staff to understand how a process runs before building for it.
• Explain technical work in plain language so leaders and their teams can act on it.
• Attend client and internal meetings as needed, including evenings and weekends when a deadline calls for it. Build & Integrate
• Design and build client applications, reports, and automations.
• Connect client systems (ERP, accounting, dispatch, production) through APIs and data exports.
• Test, reconcile, and maintain what is built so it holds up in daily use. Systems & Documentation
• Administer client ERP and business systems: configure, run reports, handle inquiries, import data, and clean up.
• Create and maintain user guides and process documentation in the firm's established style.
• Follow through on open items with clients and their IT providers so nothing stalls.
• Apply Plan–Do–Check–Adjust (PDCA) thinking, adapting proactively to shifting priorities. Competencies or Experience Requirements
• 1+ years building software, integrations, or automations, professionally or through work the candidate can show us.
• Working SQL and comfort with data exports, data cleanup, and Excel.
• Familiarity with APIs and system integrations.
• Experience using AI tools in development and analysis, with sound judgment about when and

how to apply
them.
• Clear written and verbal communication and curiosity about how businesses run.
• Comfortable learning an unfamiliar system quickly. Education Requirements
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience and a portfolio of working projects.
• Exposure to Acumatica, Syspro, QuickBooks, or construction and manufacturing ERPs is a plus. Travel / Remote Work Most clients are within a 2.5-hour drive of Cleveland, Ohio. Regular in-person collaboration is key to strong client relationships, so this role requires on-site work with clients one to five days per week, most often alongside the Associate Director of Technology on active engagements. Remote work is encouraged when not on-site. Additional Considerations Culture and values matter here. Candidates are evaluated on skills, experience, and cultural fit. As a fast-growing firm, flexibility is essential. The ideal candidate is comfortable juggling priorities and meeting deadlines as we evolve. Disclaimer This describes the general nature of the role and is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, or skills. Associates may be asked to take on additional tasks as business needs evolve.
