Phoenix, Arizona, United States Ideation Design Group Full-time
About the Studio At Ideation Design Group, we create hospitality environments people remember. From nationally recognized airport dining concepts to immersive restaurant and retail experiences, our work lives at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and unforgettable design. We partner with some of the world’s most recognized brands to create spaces that are functional, emotionally engaging, operationally smart, and visually magnetic. We are a modern, boutique architecture, interior design, foodservice and procurement firm specializing in creating magnetic environments for the hospitality, restaurant and retail sectors, giving our designers the opportunity to work closely across disciplines and contribute to projects from concept through execution. Our team is fast-moving, design-driven, highly creative, and deeply committed to producing exceptional work without losing the human side of collaboration. We believe great ideas can come from anywhere, curiosity matters, and the best designers balance vision with execution. We are seeking a Project Manager who thrives at the intersection of client relationships, project leadership, and execution. This is a project ownership role. You will be responsible for driving assigned projects from initial kickoff and due diligence through design coordination, permitting, and handoff to Construction Administration. The ideal candidate understands the complexities of architecture and hospitality project delivery and knows how to bring together clients, internal teams, engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes. You are organized, proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of the details while never losing sight of the bigger picture. What You’ll Do As the Project Manager, you'll lead all aspects of assigned projects, serving as the primary client liaison and coordinating the efforts of our Design, Architecture, Foodservice, Engineering, and Construction Administration teams. You'll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with established scope, budget, schedule, and client expectations. Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing project scope, schedules, budgets, hours, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Leading project teams from initial kickoff and due diligence through permitting and project handoff.
• Directing the development of architectural construction documents, ensuring technical accuracy, completeness, and coordination.
• Reviewing, redlining, and managing drawing packages through internal QA/QC and final client, landlord, and AHJ submissions.
• Managing project due diligence, site surveys, code research, tenant requirements, and permitting coordination.
• Serving as the primary client liaison and leading project meetings, communication, and decision-making.
• Monitoring project financial performance, tracking hours and fees, identifying scope changes, and communicating billing and change order needs.
• Managing project communication, accountability, and follow-through across the entire project team.
• Mentoring and directing project team members while contributing to studio standards and process improvements.
• Identifying project risks, resolving challenges, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with client expectations. What We’re Looking For We're looking for someone who understands what it takes to successfully deliver complex projects and knows how to bring people, processes, and moving parts together. You are equally comfortable leading a client meeting, reviewing a project budget, coordinating consultants, navigating permitting requirements, and holding a project team accountable to deadlines. You understand how architecture and hospitality projects come together and know how to balance technical requirements, client expectations, financial performance, and competing priorities. You'll likely thrive here if you are:
• A natural leader who takes ownership and drives accountability.
• Proactive in identifying risks, resolving issues, and keeping projects moving forward.
• Confident communicating with clients, consultants, leadership, and internal teams.
• Comfortable managing budgets, schedules, fees, and competing priorities.
• Able to see the big picture while staying on top of the details.
• Skilled at navigating complexity and finding practical solutions.
• Collaborative and comfortable working across multiple disciplines.
• Committed to delivering complete, coordinated work rather than passing unfinished problems to others.
• Willing to roll up your sleeves, do the work that needs to be done, and lead by example.
• Possess a strong work ethic, high standards, and a healthy sense of humor.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Interior Design, or a related field required.
• 5+ years of project management experience within an architecture, design, construction, hospitality, or related professional services environment.
• Experience managing hospitality, restaurant, retail, commercial, or experiential projects preferred.
• Working knowledge of architectural project delivery, construction documentation, permitting, building codes, and consultant coordination.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, fees, staffing, and project financial performance.
• Understanding of tenant improvement projects, landlord requirements, and third-party tenant coordination processes.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, engineers, and outside consultants.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and project management platforms.
• Strong communication, client relationship management, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
