As a General Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the hotel remains safe, functional, and welcoming for guests and colleagues. This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, and hotel equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to guest service requests, troubleshoot facility-related issues, and complete repairs in areas such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and carpentry. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with a strong maintenance background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail. A commitment to delivering exceptional guest service, maintaining high property standards, and supporting the hotel's daily operations is essential for success in this role. Flexibility and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment are highly valued.
• Respond promptly to guest service requests and maintenance calls.
• Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.
• Troubleshoot and complete minor mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Conduct painting and touch-up work as needed following maintenance repairs.
• Support the hotel's energy management initiatives through daily awareness and participation.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of tools, supplies, and replacement parts required to perform assigned duties.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Assist with the setup, breakdown, and maintenance of equipment for special events and functions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and departmental records.
• Provide guidance and support to fellow engineering team members when appropriate.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
