About The Role
The Senior Web Applications Developer at Partnership HealthPlan of California plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, testing, and supporting web and client-server applications that are critical to the organization’s operations. Working closely with the Director of Web Applications Development, this role involves collaborating with IT teams and business analysts to create innovative solutions that streamline processes and improve system performance. The developer will leverage a broad spectrum of technologies including C#, ASP.
NET, MVC, JQuery, and SQL Server to build scalable, secure, and efficient applications supporting AMISYS Advance and other networked systems. This position demands a proactive individual capable of troubleshooting complex issues, maintaining code quality, and contributing to the organization’s digital transformation efforts. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with 6-9 years of experience in client-server and web application development. Proven expertise in programming languages such as ASP, ASP.
NET, C#, VB.
NET, JavaScript, and SQL Server is essential. Experience with SharePoint 2013, PhoneGap/Xamarin for mobile applications, SSIS, SSRS, and enterprise application blocks will be highly valued. Knowledge of managed care systems, AMISYS software, and healthcare industry standards is a plus. The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to quickly learn complex systems. Familiarity with source control tools like Team Foundation Server and web servers such as IIS is required. A commitment to providing exceptional service and maintaining high standards of quality is essential for success in this role. Responsibilities The Senior Web Applications Developer will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise web and client-server applications.
Key responsibilities
include creating applications using C#, ASP.
NET, MVC, JQuery, and responsive design principles, ensuring code quality through peer reviews, and documenting database schemas. The developer will work closely with business analysts to understand requirements, develop prototypes, and support production environments. Tasks also involve programming data tasks with SQL Server or Oracle PL/SQL, troubleshooting online service issues, and maintaining source code repositories using Team Foundation Server. Additionally, the role involves developing or converting DTS packages to SSIS, supporting SharePoint 2013 applications, and customizing solutions to meet organizational needs. The developer will also participate in developing test scenarios, evaluating new technologies, and resolving server-related issues in test and production environments. Secondary duties include providing on-call support, maintaining system documentation, and performing other related tasks as assigned.
