Location:
UHealth (1400 NW 12th Ave Miami, FL 33136) Pay: $17/hour Schedule: Shifts will vary and may include weekends This location requires proof of the following vaccinations prior to beginning employment:
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella)
• Varicella (VCV)
• Hepatitis B
• Flu Shot If you need to obtain your vaccination records, you may contact the Immunization Office located across the street from UHealth. The Parking Attendant is responsible for monitoring parking facilities (i.e. lots or garages), ensure safe traffic flow, proper vehicle placement , providing customer service, and supporting the safe and efficient operation of parking lots and garages. This position patrols assigned areas, identifies parking violations and will report the violations to UM Public Safey, assists customers, and reports safety, security, and operational concerns.
Key Responsibilities
• Patrol parking lots, garages, and designated parking areas to ensure compliance with parking regulations and permit requirements.
• Monitor parking facilities for unauthorized vehicles, improper parking, and restricted-access violations.
• Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic during peak periods, special events, emergencies, and facility closures.
• Provide courteous customer service by answering questions and assisting employees, patients, visitors, students, and guests.
• Educate customers regarding parking rules, permit requirements, payment options, and transportation services.
• Report parking violations, accidents, incidents, suspicious activity, safety hazards, damaged equipment, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Assist with parking access issues, gate malfunctions, ticket disputes, and parking payment inquiries.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and comply with all departmental uniform and safety requirements.
• Support traffic management operations, and parking facility activities as assigned.
• Follow all organizational, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of parking equipment, including replenishing ticket and receipt rolls, clearing credit card and ticket jams, resetting gates, and servicing parking payment stations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to communicate with guests
• Ability to learn quickly and use sound decision making to thrive in fast-paced environments
• Ability to operate guest vehicles requiring normal coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot
• Ability to move from valet stand to customer cars by walking or running for extended period of time, sometimes for the entire duration of shift
• Previous valet experience preferred
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles (stick shift)
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid driver’s license with good driving records.
• Must successfully pass a background check, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide documentation verifying eligibility, as required by the Department of Homeland Security. Reimagined Parking participates in the E‑Verify program to confirm employment eligibility. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Operate guest vehicles requiring normal coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot
• Frequent walking and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and climb stairs WORKING
CONDITIONS:
• Work is performed in parking facilities including garages, lots, booths, and outdoor areas.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, wind, and snow depending on the region and season.
• Fast‑paced environment requiring consistent customer interaction.
• Exposure to vehicle traffic, noise, and varying weather conditions.
