NET Software Developer to primarily support the US Army’s Range Managers Toolkit (RMTK) project, consisting of a suite of add-ins to be used within ESRI ArcGIS Pro. Additional tasks may include supporting low-level .
NET web application development. Tasks Include
• Work item analysis – Developer will participate in analyzing work items and providing estimates of work to be done
• Code development – Successful candidate will be tasked with both writing greenfield code and refactoring legacy code
• Participate in peer code reviews – This person will help ensure code quality by being an active participant in reviewing pull requests across teams Required Skills
• U.
S. citizen
• Must be able to pass local background checks to attain a Common Access Card for system access
• Solid understanding of objected-oriented programming
• Comfortable with high school level geometry concepts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office products Preferred Skills
• Ability to interpret client requirements into specifications, models, code, and systems
• Experience with Agile workflow processes Required Experience
• 3+ years of experience writing Microsoft .
NET code (preferably .
NET 8 or higher)
• 1+ years of experience working remotely (primarily camera off)
• Experience with Git version control
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Gitlab or similar DevOps platform Preferred Experience
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Experience using ESRI ArcGIS Pro or similar GIS application
• Experience writing .
NET code for web applications Required Education
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.
S. Department of Education or cumulative 3-4 years of equivalent work experience in a related position. Preferred Education
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited school by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.
S. Department of Education with a major in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), math, science, engineering or similar
• MCSD or similarly relevant programming certification
• Security+ certification
