Role Description The Hexagon CMM Programmer with PC-DMIS Software role is a full-time, on-site position based in Solon, OH. This role is responsible for programming and operating Hexagon coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) using PC-DMIS to perform dimensional inspections of precision machined parts. Day-to-day tasks include creating and optimizing CMM programs, setting up and running inspection routines, analyzing measurement data, and documenting results to support quality control and customer requirements. The role also involves collaborating with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to troubleshoot dimensional issues, refine inspection methods, and maintain calibration and accuracy of measuring equipment. The programmer contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by updating inspection processes and supporting root-cause analysis for nonconformances. Qualifications Proficiency in using gauges and other precision measuring tools for dimensional verification. Experience with quality control practices, including inspection planning and documentation. Strong skills in measurements and data analysis for tight-tolerance components. Knowledge of calibration procedures and standards for inspection equipment. Hands-on experience with inspection processes, including first-article and in-process inspections. Demonstrated expertise in programming and operating Hexagon CMMs using PC-DMIS software. Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and blueprint reading. Previous experience in a precision CNC machining or aerospace/defense manufacturing environment is preferred. Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to safety and quality. Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent work experience in metrology, manufacturing, or a related field.
