Market Better is hiring a Director of Operations to run the day-to-day of the agency. You will be reporting to Mike McGrath (CEO), and Account Management, Delivery, and Operations report to you.
We've spent the last 18 months rebuilding this company. New brand, new team, new offer. The pieces are in place. What we're missing is one person who owns how it all runs, measures it, and makes it better every week.
Mike McGrath will help oversee sales, business development, overall leadership, and maintaining the vision for the company's growth.
About Market Better:
Market Better is a B2B growth marketing agency in Bryn Mawr, PA, just outside Philadelphia. We build marketing engines that feed sales.

Most agencies stop at content. We fuse marketing and sales together with a four-step system:
• Video. YouTube and podcast content built for the client's exact buyer.
• Content. Social, blog, and newsletter, all built off the video.
• Inbound. Lead magnets, landing pages, and funnels that turn attention into leads.
• Outbound. Email and LinkedIn outreach that turns leads into booked sales calls. We get judged on meetings booked. Clicks, downloads, and impressions don't count. Today we're about 15 people across the US and nearshore, serving more than 20+ B2B clients. The Role You own three departments: Account Management, Delivery, and Operations. Sales reports to the CEO. You'll work closely with sales so the handoff to Account Management is clean. Delivery is the biggest. On the content side that's strategists, producers, editors, designers, and delivery coordinators. On the lead generation side it's our inbound and outbound team so we're a well oiled machine. You'll have an Account Manager, a Business Operations Manager, and a full delivery team behind you. They need a leader who sets the bar, clears the bottlenecks, and holds the whole system to its numbers. This is a senior seat. You help set strategy and you run the day to day.
What You'll Do
Track and measure the delivery system
• Build one scoreboard for every client across all four steps. What launched, what's late, what's producing.
• Own the numbers that matter: time to launch, on-time delivery, leads, booked calls, client health, and team utilization.
• Hold our launch standard. The goal is all four steps live inside 30 days for every new client.
• Catch problems before the client does, and fix them. Build the process
• Help curate and revise our full step by step process for delivery and operations. Signed deal to Day 90 and beyond. Help sales document theirs.
• Tighten the handoffs. Sales to Account Manager. Account Manager to delivery. Content to lead generation.
• Turn it all into SOPs the team will really use, living in Notion. Lead the team
• Run the weekly team huddle and the monthly all-hands.
• Coach the department leads one on one and give direct feedback.
• Help hire our open seats and get new people productive fast.
• Manage our outside partners and contractors. Run the systems
• Own Notion as the company's operating system, alongside our Notion Specialist.
• Keep the CRM and client dashboards clean so we can trust the data.
• Find the places where AI and automation take work off the team's plate. First 90 Days: By day 90, you're running the company day to day and Mike is out of delivery.
• Days 1 to 30: Learn it. Sit in on every huddle. Meet every team member. Walk through each client account and our Notion setup. Come back with an honest read on what's working and what's broken.
• Days 31 to 60: Measure it. The scoreboard is live. Every client and every step is tracked in one place. You're running the weekly huddle.
• Days 61 to 90: Own it. The process for delivery and operations is written down and the team is following it. You have a plan for the open seats and for what is needed next as we add clients. Who you are:
• You've scaled a digital marketing agency, a lead generation company, or a business a lot like one. You know where the bottlenecks happen when a service business grows.
• You've held a senior operations seat before. Director, VP, Head of Ops, or COO.
• You're organized. Things don't slip with you.
• You're a builder. You've written processes from scratch and gotten a team to follow them.
• You're a strong leader. You're comfortable coaching, leading calls, managing a team, and having the hard conversation.
• You're technical. You know Notion or a tool like it, you've lived in a CRM, and you can look at a dashboard and ask the right question.
• You use AI tools in your own work and you're curious where they fit in ours.
• You've managed a remote team across time zones.
• You think like an owner. You care about goals, KPIs, and targets. Details:
