Dunklin Street Jefferson City MO 65109 Why You’ll Love This Position As a JAVA Applications Developer, you will work with business owners and vendors in a team environment to solve problems, perform maintenance, and create new Java applications. These applications are critical to citizens utilizing the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations' services. This position will be responsible for maintenance and operations of existing systems, designing and developing new software solutions, and evaluating off-the-shelf software solutions for customers. The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-motivated person with great organizational and technical skills that can multitask in a fast-paced environment. This position will also be involved with and work on varying AI platforms such as Google GCP and AWS Bedrock.

• Full Stack Software Development (Database, Application, User Interface).
• Development within AI Technologies (Google GCP AI platform, AWS Bedrock).
• System Development Life Cycle (Planning, Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Implementation, Maintenance, Documentation).
• Maintenance and operations on existing applications the team supports.
• Database design and application development.
• Work in various Technologies resources such as Azure/Aws/Veracode/ServiceNow.
• Code review and technical testing.
• Create and update relevant documentation, such as user manuals.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills & the ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management is necessary.
• Aptitude and desire to quickly learn new technologies and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical people.
• Ability to work on multiple projects or tasks at the same time in a fast-paced environment and adapt easily to changing tasks.
• Experience with Java, DB2, JPA, HTML, CSS, Web Services, Angular, and Cloud Architecture.
• Experience with AI Technologies such as Google GCP and AWS Bedrock preferred.
• ServiceNow experience is a plus but not required.
• Basic knowledge of SQL.
