SilverDoor are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Houston office. The role will take full ownership of end-to-end payroll processing benefits administration for a workforce of approximately 200 multi-state employees. This role is responsible for accurately processing payroll for both hourly and salaried employees using ADP TotalSource, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local payroll regulations while delivering an excellent employee experience. In addition to payroll processing, the successful candidate will support a range of HR administration activities and assist with the preparation of payroll information for our global payroll operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail oriented payroll professional who enjoys working collaboratively in a fast-paced, international business. To be considered, you will already have a strong knowledge of payroll laws, labor laws, payroll tax regulations, benefits administration, garnishments, deductions, onboarding, employee records, and compliance reporting. Collects, reviews, and verifies employee timesheets prior to submitting payroll data according to the company’s payroll schedule, resolving any discrepancies. Review all payroll data, reconcile discrepancies and resolve payroll issues prior to processing Process bi-weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time for hourly and salaried employees using ADP TotalSource Process new hires, terminations, promotions, salary changes, bonuses, commissions and all other payroll adjustments. Calculate and process overtime, retroactive pay, manual payments, and off-cycle payrolls inline with state timelines Prepare payroll reports and support payroll reconciliations, year-end processing and audit requests. Assist with W-2 processing, payroll tax adjustments and other payroll compliance activities. Manage all benefit enrolment, scheme leavers, and scheme changes in all applicable systems Coordinate benefit open enrolment processes and communicate benefit options to employees Manage 401K compliance, processing, and scheme changes Perform post-payroll processes and audits reports Responsible for updating the payroll system, which includes hours worked weekly, new hires, terminations, payroll changes, paid leave, deductions and withholdings, and distribution of payroll checks Maintain payroll records, ensuring employee pay, deductions, benefits and tax information are accurate and up to date. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll legislation, tax regulations proactively monitoring legislative changes and adjusting processes accordingly When required assist in preparing payroll data and supporting documentation for international payrolls, ensuring information is complete and submitted within required deadlines. Partner closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll data and alignment across interconnected processes Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, supporting knowledge transfer, cross training, and operational continuity of the US payroll function. Act as the primary contact for external benefits administration and providers. Support the Recruitment and HR teams with salary benchmarking, market analysis and compensation data to ensure competitive hiring and informed pay decisions. Review employee benefit scheme renewals, research alternative providers and benefit offerings, and present recommendations to support cost-effective and competitive benefits programmes. Contribute to payroll process improvements and maintaining up to date processing guidelines Act as the primary contact for US payroll queries, helping resolve issues and providing guidance on payroll related matters in a timely, professional and confidential manner. Provide administrative and operational support to the HR team, assisting with various HR projects, employee queries, HRIS management, onboarding and offboarding employees, and benefit administration when required.

Experience:
3+ years processing experience of corporate multi-state payrolls Hands-on experience processing payroll using ADP TotalSource is essential. Experience processing payroll for both hourly and salaried employees. Working knowledge of payroll legislation, tax withholdings, overtime calculations and payroll compliance.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with complete discretion. Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) is desired.
