This is a remote postion that can be based anywhere within the US (excluding Alaska and Hawaii) About This Opportunity Ericsson Mobile Financial Services is seeking a technically exceptional Senior Presales Solution Architect to join our growing team in the United States. This is a role for a builder and problem-solver at heart — someone who understands fintech platforms down to the architecture, API, and integration level, and who can translate that depth into solutions that win business. You will be the technical cornerstone of our most strategic sales engagements, partnering with prospective customers to design and articulate solutions across mobile money, digital wallets, and payment platforms. We are looking for someone with deep, hands-on command of the US fintech landscape, real architectural expertise gained inside fintech technology companies, and the credibility to earn trust with engineering leaders, product owners, and C-level stakeholders alike. This is a US-based, full-time role with travel requirements. What You Will Do
• Own the end-to-end technical presales process — from discovery and requirements analysis through solution design, architecture, live demonstrations, proposals, and executive presentations.
• Act as the lead technical authority in customer engagements, positioning Ericsson Mobile Financial Services capabilities as the right architectural and strategic fit for complex fintech environments.
• Architect tailored, scalable solutions spanning mobile money, digital wallets, payment processing, API ecosystems, and financial inclusion use cases — balancing technical rigor with real-world deployment constraints.
• Design integration and systems architectures that address security, compliance, scalability, and interoperability challenges specific to US financial services.
• Build compelling solution narratives that connect deep technical capability to measurable business value for both engineering teams and senior executives.
• Produce high-quality technical proposals, solution blueprints, and RFP/RFI responses that clearly differentiate us on both technical merit and commercial value.
• Drive clean handovers to delivery, collaborating closely with sales, product, and implementation teams to ensure what is sold can be built and scaled.
• Stay ahead of the market — tracking US fintech trends, emerging payment technologies, regulatory shifts, and the competitive landscape, and feeding insights back into our solution strategy.
• Build reusable technical assets — reference architectures, demo environments, integration patterns, and best-practice documentation that raise the capability of the whole team.
• Mentor and uplift colleagues, helping grow solution architecture depth across presales and supporting partner-led engagements. Skills You Will Bring
• 10+ years in solution architecture, software engineering, or other deeply technical roles within fintech or financial services technology organizations in the US.
• A proven track record of technically leading complex, architecture-driven engagements in fintech or payments — ideally with ownership of design decisions end to end.
• Strong hands-on understanding of fintech platforms, including mobile money, digital payments, wallet infrastructure, API design and management, microservices, and cloud-based financial services architectures.
• Fluency in the technical fundamentals that matter in payments — transaction processing, security and encryption, data integration, system scalability, and resilience.
• The rare ability to move between layers — going deep in a technical whiteboard session, then stepping up to frame business value for an executive audience.
• Excellent solution design, technical writing, presentation, and RFP response skills.
• A collaborative, customer-first mindset and the credibility to build trusted relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
• The ability to operate independently in a US-based role while staying connected to a global engineering and product organization.
• An established network of potential customers and partners in the US fintech market is a strong advantage.
