The principle purpose of the General Manager
- DFC is to create and oversee the execution of operations functions within the Direct Fulfillment Center, to include driving Lowe’s Purpose of Helping People Love Where They Live. Specifically, the General Manager
- DFC will lead the effective delivery of Safety, Employee Engagement, Customer Focused Service, Process Improvement, and Operational Excellence. Additionally, the General Manager
- DFC will assist in creating and cascading approved functional plans that support the Supply Chain and Lowe’s USHI strategies. The General Manager
- DFC will work closely with cross functional teams across the Supply Chain to develop, cascade, and manage operational guidelines that assure the delivery and execution of DFC short and long term goals. To accomplish this, the General Manager
- DFC must have working knowledge and experience in the Supply Chain functional support areas of Safety, Human Resources, Employee Relations, Operations, Process Improvement, Transportation, Finance, DC Support & Services, and IT Field Services. The General Manager
- DFC will ensure alignment and compliance with established procedures, processes, and guidelines in DFC. This General Manager
- DFC will also provide input and direction for the evolution of these functional areas to meet future operational needs. Further, the General Manager
- DFC will be required to coordinate the implementation of initiatives as identified to support the continuous improvement agenda. This will require big picture thinking and problem solving ability as well as the ability to implement, align, and execute to ensure success of the DFC. Must have experience in startup of new large scale facility; participating in facility and process design, developing staffing and onboarding plans, and realization of production goals. Experience with automated storage and retrieval systems, highly automated direct to customer fulfillment environment, and implementation of new warehouse management systems platforms.
