At Allen Industries, quality isn't something we check at the end. It's something we expect throughout the entire manufacturing process.
We're looking for a Quality Control Specialist who takes pride in getting things right. You'll be out on the production floor inspecting products, catching issues before they become problems, working with our production team to correct them, and helping ensure what leaves our plant meets our customers' expectations.
This isn't a sit-behind-a-desk quality job. You'll be in the middle of the action.
What You'll Do
• Inspect products throughout the plant to make sure quality requirements are being met
• Catch quality issues and work with plant leadership to get them corrected quickly
• Inspect signage for compliance with UL 48 standards
• Help improve our quality control processes
• Photograph finished products before and after loading and maintain organized photo records
• Support special projects and prototypes moving through the shop
• Help in packaging, building crates and loading trucks
• Work closely with Production to help make sure quality products leave the plant on time What We're Looking For You don't need a fancy degree. You need a good eye, solid judgment, and the confidence to speak up when something isn't right. Required:
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Basic math skills Even better if you have:
• Manufacturing, fabrication, or quality control experience
• Knowledge of UL 48 standards
• Forklift or overhead crane certification
• LED lighting or wiring knowledge
• Experience using hand, electric, and pneumatic tools
• General construction knowledge
• Familiarity with OSHA general industry standards This Job Is for You If You...
• Take pride in your work
• Have an eye for detail and notice when something isn't right
• Aren't afraid to ask questions or raise a quality concern
• Like being on the production floor instead of sitting at a desk all day
• Want your work to have a visible impact on the finished product The Job This is a full-time, hourly position in a manufacturing environment. You'll spend much of your day standing and walking through the plant and will regularly bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and reach while inspecting products. PPE is required as appropriate for the work environment. Occasional overtime, evening, or weekend work may be required based on business needs. Ready to Be the Person Who Makes Sure It's Right? If you're detail-oriented, hands-on, and take pride in sending great work out the door, we want to hear from you. Apply today and bring your attention to detail to Allen Industries
