ASSISTANT PROJECT COORDINATOR JOB SUMMARY The Assistant Project Coordinator is a vital, detail-centric part of the Project Management team at Cooper Steel. This in-office role is responsible for partnering with Project Managers to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects by assisting with communication, document control, and company processes through all stages of the project. • With 0-2 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Fluent and comfortable with Microsoft Excel
• Communication-driven, with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team

JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary The Assistant Project Coordinator is a vital, detail-centric part of the Project Management team at Cooper Steel. This in-office role is responsible for partnering with Project Managers to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects by assisting with communication, document control, and company processes through all stages of the project. Primary Responsibilities
• Promote a strong quality culture throughout the company maintaining Cooper Steel’s core priorities: Safety, Quality, Production
• Partner with a Senior Project Coordinator to learn and train on all areas of project coordination and management for Cooper Steel projects and other industry information
• Assists in the management of a project drawing package as a pivot point: receiving drawings into our system, distribution of drawings, maintaining up-to-date log of all associated drawings, revisions, and phases in the drawing approval process.
• Ensuring that the electronic and physical paper drawings are transmitted to the proper parties as fast as possible to maintain job flow.
• Proactive, open communication with project team members including the Cooper Steel team, subcontractors, vendors, and general contractors as needed to ensure time sensitive job information is properly distributed.
• Aid in issues subcontracts and purchase orders as necessary to secure services for a project. Understands the subcontract, licensing, and insurance process to ensure that the proper documents are issued.
• Aid in managing the approval process of invoices and billings while maintaining sub-contract and purchase order cost vs expenditures.
• Learn to maintain real-time job information in Sage 300, Quickbase, Raken and other systems utilized within the company and by our customers.
• Completes administrative duties for the project management team as needed. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
