Job Summary:
Galaxy Technologies is seeking motivated high school students interested in gaining hands-on work experience and exploring career opportunities in manufacturing, aerospace, engineering, and business operations. This internship is designed to introduce students to the workplace, develop foundational professional skills, and provide exposure to different career paths within our organization.
Interns will be placed in eligible departments based on business needs, student interests, and available learning opportunities. This program is intended for students who are eager to learn, ask questions, work as part of a team, and explore how their skills and interests can translate into a future career.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with assigned tasks and projects within an eligible department under the direction of a designated supervisor or mentor.
• Gain exposure to daily operations and learn how different departments contribute to the success of Galaxy Technologies.
• Follow established safety procedures, company policies, and workplace expectations.
• Develop foundational skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, organization, and time management.
• Participate in hands-on learning activities appropriate to the student's age, experience, and assigned department.
• Ask questions, seek feedback, and demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills.
• Maintain a professional attitude, dependable attendance, and a positive approach to assigned responsibilities.
• Complete other appropriate duties and learning activities as assigned. Required
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in high school.
• Interest in exploring career opportunities and gaining practical work experience.
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and accept feedback.
• Ability to work respectfully and cooperatively with others.
• Dependable, responsible, and committed to following workplace safety expectations.
• Ability to meet applicable age, work authorization, and program requirements. Preferred
Qualifications:
• Interest in CNC Machining (must be 18), Assembly, Welding, or a career in manufacturing.
• Participation in career and technical education (CTE), STEM programs, shop classes, or other relevant school activities.
• Previous volunteer, extracurricular, part-time work, or project experience demonstrating responsibility and teamwork.
• Curiosity about how products are designed, manufactured, inspected, and delivered to customers. Work Environment: This internship may provide exposure to a variety of departments and work environments within Galaxy Technologies, including manufacturing and production support, quality, engineering, planning, and administrative operations, depending on approved placements and business needs. Interns will work under appropriate supervision and receive instruction on applicable safety procedures before participating in assigned activities. Duties will be tailored to the student's age, experience, and department assignment. Work schedules, internship duration, and placement opportunities will be determined based on school availability and company needs.
